Celebrating St. Patty's day w/friends from Brazil
Hello Naughty America,
Yesterday was St. Patrick’s Day as most of you may know. It was the 1st time I’ve ever celebrated one outside of Chicago. I’ve so used to living right down the street from the infamous South Side Irish Parade. The Irish presence in San Diego, CA. was quite different. The downtown area was packed full of people attending bars, restaurants, and most notably, a huge block party!

The Block Party was definitely the highlight of yesterday’s events. I visited the event for a little while after enjoying a delicious Buffalo chicken sandwich at Hooters. What a sandwich. Though the event was themed around St. Patrick’s Day, I didn’t run into a single Irish person yesterday. Well, not that I know of at least. Most of the people I met were of German or Brazilian descent. I thought that was very cool! Everywhere I’d turn, I see one green outfit after another. I didn’t really since a strong Irish presence in this town until St. Patty’s day. Though it wasn’t a Chicago style celebration, it was different, and highly enjoyable. I’m thinking my favorite part of the whole event was the fact that it was about 80 degrees, so most women walking around town yesterday either wore skirts, or shorts! And yes, they were green. Ha ha ha!

Now that’s what I call a Naughty America,
